Chautauqua County Capital Resource Corporation
The Chautauqua County Capital Resource Corporation (CRC) is an LDC incorporated in 2009 pursuant to NFPCL to issue tax-exempt bonds for civic and other facilities.
CRC undertakes projects in the non-profit and for-profit sectors that work to advance job opportunities, health, recreational opportunities, general prosperity, and the economic welfare of the people of Chautauqua County, by providing access to low-interest, tax-exempt, and non-tax-exempt bond financing for their eligible projects.
CRC consists of a nine-member Board of Directors, which also serves as the board overseeing CCIDA and CREDC.
CRC Mission & Goals
CRC’s mission is to promote community and economic development and the creation of jobs in the non-profit and for-profit sectors for the citizens of the County by developing and providing programs for not-for-profit institutions, manufacturing and industrial businesses and other entities to access low-interest tax-exempt and non-tax-exempt financing for their eligible projects; and undertaking projects and activities within the County for the purpose of relieving and reducing unemployment, bettering and maintaining job opportunities, carrying on scientific research for the purpose of aiding the County by attracting new industry to the County or by encouraging the development of, or retention of, an industry in the County, and lessening the burdens of government and acting in the public interest.
CRC undertakes projects either on its own behalf or for the benefit of an applicant. The Corporation can undertake any project that promotes community and economic development and the creation of jobs in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors for the citizens of Chautauqua County. This is accomplished by developing and providing programs for not-for-profit institutions, manufacturing and industrial businesses and other eligible entities to access low interest tax-exempt and not-tax-exempt financing for their eligible projects, as well as projects and activities within the County for the purpose of relieving and reducing unemployment, bettering and maintaining job opportunities, carrying on scientific research for the purpose of aiding the County by attracting new industry or by encouraging the development of, or retention of, an industry in the County, and lessening the burdens of government and acting in the public interest. (The Chautauqua County Capital Resources Corporation is a local development corporation formed under Section 1411 of the New York State Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.)
