Bio: I’ve lived in Chautauqua County since 2020 and enjoy outdoor recreation. While I primarily enjoy riding my mountain bike throughout the 30+ miles of available trails found here in the county, I also like to go hiking, cross country skiing, and kayaking. Professionally, I work remotely in education as an associate professor at Monroe Community College and also am the trail coordinator for the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth. Much of my work with CCPEG involves grant writing and development, but I also spend a lot of time working on our many trails. My wife and I currently live just outside of Bemus Point, and we love having close access to both Chautauqua Lake and Long Point State Park.

Bio: I moved from Erie, PA to Chautauqua County, along with my wife and three teenage sons, in December of 2021. We chose to move to Westfield because we had the opportunity to move into a beautiful lakeshore community right along the bluffs of Lake Erie. We are surrounded by nature, between the lake, the woods, creeks, and vineyards, which affords us the ability to really take full advantage of the various activities like kayaking, swimming, hiking, running, walking our two dogs, and enjoying a nice bonfire. I have worked in svereal CHQ school districts, but currently am focused exclusively on the Jamestown schools. My wife, Patti, is a professional face painter (Face Painting by Patti), as well as leads sip and paint classes, which gives us the opportunity to experience lots of the amazing festivals, restaurants, and wineries all throughout the county. We are absolutely loving living here in CHQ County, as it’s so full of little gems, so much charm, and lots of lovely people who we now call friends.

During the day, I work in healthcare, and during my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking/camping, homesteading, crafting, teaching POUND fitness, working on my custom picnic basket business “U-Picknic’”, and participating in local wellness classes. Since relocating to Chautauqua County it has been an experience I wouldn’t change as my lifestyle is at a slower pace, I’ve learned to appreciate the simple pleasers of life and have a stronger sense of community. Interests: Biking/Cycling, Boating/Watersports, Camping, Community Service, Connecting with Nature, Cooking, Family Friendly Activities, Fishing, Gardening, Hiking, Hunting, Ourdoor Recreation, Photography, Skiing, Sustainability, Volunteerism, Youth Sports

Bio: I grew up on the Texas Gulf coast, lived in Seattle, Honolulu, and Portland for 15 years, but never imagined I could be content in a place like this. At this moment, I am looking out over Chautauqua Lake just before dawn. From my wimdow, like many windows around here, I am struck by the natural beauty of the water, developing its own little could on an otherwise crystal clear morning. When I first heard about this place in 2001 from someone I was romantically interested in, it seemed like a place that time left behind; a Norman Rockwell painting come to life. Now, more than 20 years, two kids and a lot of experience later, I recognize in reality, the place has let time carry away the stressful bits of modernity that interfere with live a life contentment. They have been replaced by the kind of community that’s hard to develop when you are stressed for time, constantly advertised to, and stuck in heavy traffic. Sorry, we don’t have Costco, but we do have community for anything you could ever need. Friends who bake pies for fun, hockey-team friends you trust with your kids, hunter friends who share the harvest, and musical friends who can start a jam session in their basement any night of the week. And yes, friends who will pick up gotta-have items from Trader Joes in Buffalo for you.
